My First Year as a Beachbody Coach

Beachbody coaching

Today is a huge day for me because it marks my 1 Year Anniversary as a Beachbody Coach!
I’m also starting my Ultimate Reset journey today which a year ago I never would have even thought I'd try because nutrition is my weak point.

It's crazy to think about how far I’ve come in just a year with my health, fitness, confidence, and business. I'm so blown away at the progress I've seen. I thought I would share an overview of what my first year as a Beachbody Coach has brought me.

On April 1st 2014, I made the leap to sign up as a coach after 6 months of doing Turbo Fire and losing close to 30 pounds. I was an unemployed full-time college student and I used my birthday money and alcohol fund (yes, guilty!) to sign up. I finally had a wakeup call to put my health above all else.

A few months in, I attended Coach Summit in Las Vegas where I was surrounded by the most uplifting, fit, and happy people on the planet. I remember doing to the Super Workout where celebrity trainers each do sections of their newest program, and there was a guy in a wheel chair attempting to also do the workouts. At this point, with the vegas heat, little sleep, 6am workouts, overwhelming amazing positivity everywhere, I got so emotional. Oh and then Shaun T came up to my coach and I and yelled at us to DIG DEEPER, so that just made me insanely happy! :)

But this was where I knew that Beachbody’s core focus was changing lives
Boom, my life altered completely.

Beachbody transformation

When I got back from this experience, I gained one of my best friends and success partners. We grew our businesses together, talked and still do talk every single day, and we immediately saw incredible results. I had just completed Insanity (the hardest program ever), climbed to the top of Half Dome, graduated college, and didn’t have a doubt in my mind that I would continue coaching. I saw my anxiety lessen, my energy go up, my allergies basically disappear, my confidence boost, and I was genuinely happier.

Half Dome

In the fall, I attended a conference called Platinum Edge. This was one of the best trips of my life. I had just rank advanced to Diamond, which is basically a coach promotion that means you are building your team and helping them grow as leaders too. I got to the Gaylord Texan hotel, and it was all decorated for Christmas. I saw top leaders in the industry, worked out extremely close to Chalene Johnson, my top motivator and mentor, saw Bo Eason talk about how powerful your story is, and I spent quality time with some of the best people on the planet.

Not only have I been able to travel more since I’ve become a coach, but my friendships have grown immensely, I put my health first, I’ve completed the hardest workout programs ever put on DVD, I’ve grown my network significantly, and I have had the time of my life along the way :)

I say all this because I truly don’t know where I’d be in my life without Beachbody. If I hadn’t made the decision to take the leap and become a coach, I would probably be working a minimum wage job somewhere that made me miserable. I know myself, and the corporate world is just not for me. It’s my dream to be my own boss, travel when I want, share my journey with others, inspire people daily, because I know that growing up I wish I had had someone to motivate me and keep me accountable when I was binging alone, depressed, and feeling like there was no hope, listening to me vent about wanting to change, and then HELPING me do it.

I have always been a dreamer, but now I have the power to make my dreams into a reality! <3

I strongly encourage you to find out what makes you get out of bed in the morning, what juices you, what provides you with happiness, and figure out how you can make that into a career.

I’m off to start another physical, emotional, and spiritual cleanse for 3 weeks and I know I’ll learn a lot about myself along the way, but I would love to talk to anyone who feels stuck in their job, wants a change, or just needs help with their health and fitness. I wish I had reached out sooner to my coach because I know I would have gotten my life on track a much longer time ago.

The future is now. . . What will you make of it?
