80 Day Obsession VEGAN Results & Review

80 Workouts later, and I'm down 15 pounds and over 20 inches!! 😳👌🏻🎉
Taking my progress pictures had me thinking back to the first few weeks of this program.

I'm in LOVE with these workouts. You can probably tell from my Instagram stories (IG: @LaurenMcHugh_14)....but legit taking my pre workout and pushing myself in these workouts that NEVER get old and are ALWAYS different is my favorite time of day! 🙈🔥🔥🔥

Even the first couple of days, I fell in LOVE with the workouts. They challenged me, but like my trainer says: if they weren't challenging, and you weren't seeing results from the challenge, you wouldn't do them right? 👌🏻

I find that I grow so much whenever I really challenge myself. 🔥
Ok I'm in. I also did it 3 times because it was such an amazing experience. 🌱

Hike a damn terrifying mountain and hang above the world at 8,000 ft elevation?
Ok I'm in. Did it twice and struggled the entire way, but hey I made it to the top both times.

80 days of no alcohol, 1 hour workouts 6 days a week, and timed nutrition? Ok I'm in.

The struggle is part of the story, or else everyone would do it right? It HAS to be hard. But I'd rather see who I become on the journey over facing the other hard: not feeling my best, having zero confidence, saying no to every opportunity because it will be a struggle. 👎🏻

Be a yes person. You might surprise yourself. 😘

I'm currently accepting applications (only until tonight, Thursday April 19th since we start on the 30th together) for my next round. This is the ONLY time in 2018 I'll be doing ALL 80 days with my clients! Let's push through these struggles together. I'm not looking for reasons why you can't....I'm looking for excitement because you CAN. 💪🏻🔥

I am so grateful I physically CAN workout. I am so grateful I am able to access organic whole foods. I am so grateful I have an incredible girl gang in my corner every day cheering me on. 🤗

Embrace your potential capabilities. And face every challenge with a badass YES I CAN attitude instead of crushing your exciting future with excuses and limiting beliefs. Sound good??
Lets do diss girlfriend 🔥

80 Days of Focus -- Vegan Style

For the last 60 days, I have been LASER FOCUSED on my health and fitness.
No excuses. No BS. No more dabbling.

I woke up on New Years Day determined to rise. I will be the HEALTHIEST and HAPPIEST I have ever been in my life...THIS.YEAR. It also happens to be the year I get it's a win/win situation! :)

With hour-long workouts, a timed nutrition vegan meal plan, and mindset ON POINT, I've seen incredible results. I only have 20 days left, and I already can't wait to do another round.

I've been asked multiple times to share my meal plan (which my clients have access to always), but I haven't been excited to share it publicly. I mean, I share what I eat daily on my IG stories (@LaurenMcHugh_14), I share my grocery list, my meal prep, even when I go grocery shopping....and I love doing that! BUT, I honestly get asked repeatedly even by people who have access to these meal plans. I had to figure this out myself. I work with clients 1 on 1 to help them reach their goals. They get first priority of course.

We live in a world where veganism is on the rise, and getting easier and easier to do. It drives me CRAZY when people ask what I eat....because I eat the vegan version of what THEY eat. It's SO simple. I mainly get a bit annoyed because too often people just overcomplicate things. You don't need to have crazy ingredients and these heavy meals to make vegan doable. You also don't need bland meals that taste awful. I get a bit irked because you HAVE to do the work yourself. You have to figure out what works FOR YOU, what YOU like, how YOUR body responds, and how to COOK certain foods as a vegan. #BeResourceful

I mean, check out my grocery list:

That's it dudes. It's that simple. The only part you need to figure out is what your body best responds to. Can't handle grains? Cool, eat sweet potatoes instead. Don't like fake meat? Cool, eat beans and leafy greens and tofu. Don't like these veggies? Cool, eat ones you love. Don't like almond milk? Cool, there are tons of plant-based milks to try. In fact, there are so many new vegan brands out there, it confuses me when people write off a certain food. "I don't like tofu." Ok, so you have tried EVERY brand? You have tried different ways to season it? Drain it? Cook it? Hmm, I doubt it girlfriend.

Most people who say these things just want to justify why they can't go vegan. Did I hit a nerve there? Well, I've seen it happen countless times. No, it's not hard to eat fruits and vegetables and plant-based proteins and fill yourself up. No, it's not hard to find delicious vegan brands (hello Amazon). You just have to put in a bit more effort. Just like when you first start meal prepping (no matter what lifestyle you have), there is a bit of a learning curve. You have to try new spices, new brands, new recipes, see how your body reacts, time it all takes a bit of effort right?

Get creative. Find what YOU enjoy. Discover NEW ways to cook. Try NEW brands. Try new FLAVORS of new brands. *Rant over* You get the point though right? Do some research yourself, and have fun with it!

For me, the following meals at these times of day work best. Again, for me. All of my clients are on different plans. This totally depends on your schedule, body type, how much of what food group you'll be allotted in a day, etc! I'm obsessed with my meal plan, and I have found that it's SO easy to stick to. Sometimes I'll change up my fruits and veggies, but I pretty much stick to the same meals every single day. It's been 60 days and I'm not bored yet ;) I'm a creature of habit, but I change things up if I feel like my body needs it or I want new flavors! Variety is important, especially with your veggies, so change it up! :)
If you have questions about the certain foods on here, feel free to send me an email:

My favorite high protein burger brand is Beyond Meat. I make these burgers in bulk for the week. I also add the 25 calorie unsweetened vanilla almond/cashew milk blend to my nightly smoothies, and I prefer almond butter over peanut. (It might sound tedious but I get asked these questions all the time). Have questions about the supplements I use? Feel free to email me. All my clients use what I do to get optimal results with their nutrition.

If you want to get involved in my community, get one on one coaching with me, daily accountability, access to this workout program, vegan meal plan (including portion control containers to simplify meal prep), the superfoods I've been drinking for over 4 years straight, and absolutely CRUSH your goals with me this year, fill out this application to be considered. I only work with a limited amount of clients since I do value personal communication daily. If you are ready to drop your excuses, let's do this together girl <3

Vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

🍫5 Ingredient No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls🍫

This was MEAL PLAN APPROVED and I can have 4 of these bad boys on my 80 day program right now.
I am actually in SHOCK at how amazing they are (meal plan deets on my IG story: @LaurenMcHugh_14)

🌱What you need🌱

-1 cup all natural peanut butter
-1 tbsp cornstarch
-3/4 cup coconut flour
-2 tbsp pure maple syrup
-8 oz semisweet chocolate, 62% cocoa or higher, melted (I used chocolate chips)

Step 1:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and get out a medium bowl.

Step 2:
Combine peanut butter, cornstarch, coconut flour, and maple syrup. Stir well until the mixture forms a dough.

Step 3:
Using a mini ice cream scoop or a spoon, shape the dough into 20ish 1 inch balls. Place a toothpick in the center of each on the baking sheet and refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Step 4:
Microwave your chocolate in a safe dish. I did it in 30 second intervals. You can also add 2 tsp coconut oil if you'd like. Stir.

Step 5:
Remove PB balls from the fridge and dip each into the chocolate. Yes, this is messy and it's almost easier just using your hand instead of twirling the toothpicks. Return them to the sheet and coat all in chocolate where there are patches.

Step 6:
Refrigerate at least an hour and ENJOY! 1 ball = 1 serving for me!

My Journey to Self Confidence

New Baby Coach > > 4 years in 🙈

When I first became my own boss while still attending college, I had no leadership confidence.👎🏻I attended conferences in hoodies and poorly fit jeans, listened to top coaches, took notes, but my introverted self did not approach anyone I didn't know. 🙅🏼‍♀️

I was at networking events with my friends who I met online, but I had NO self worth. I didn't see myself as an equal to these badass boss babes who were top in the company, making 6+ figures, and who always seemed to have their shit together. By that, I mean hair curled, perfect makeup, gorgeous outfits. 😅

I didn't learn about that in college.  I was always comfortable in workout clothes, but not much else. It wasn't until I dove into personal growth, took better care of myself, and achieved some awesome goals that I felt comfortable enough around fellow leaders.

Just because I got a professional headshot taken at a leadership event though does not mean my introverted self is going to go out and speak on stage, be the first to talk to top leaders in our industry, and ask for top advice.  That's just not what I'm about. But then again, I never want to be that person who remains stagnant because I've put myself into a box.

My hair color has changed, my attitude towards change and challenges has been altered, and I know that every year running my own business has stretched me in so many different ways.

If you are considering launching that blog, or opening up an Etsy store, jumping into a world of WILL be tough. Working for yourself is not for the fainthearted. You'll have to go through change, growth, ups, downs...but it's a hell of a ride.

I can't believe how much I've positively changed because I CHOSE to get uncomfortable, step out of my comfort zone, and just see what happened. 4 years later of showing up every day to my business and myself, I'm pretty excited to see how far I've come. If you're reading this and you've been considering doing that one thing you've been thinking about non stop...well girl, take this as your sign to make the leap. What's the worst that could happen?

*You only fail if you refuse to try....or if you quit*👌🏻👌🏻

New Year Commitment

Honestly, I need to get this off my chest. 💆🏼‍♀️

I talk to so many women who give up on themselves before they even begin.

Before they even TRY.
Before they even COMMIT to themselves, or think about the possibility of doing so.
Commitment is scary, no matter what area of your life.

But without making YOU a priority (with your health, fitness, mindset, self love, nutrition, job, happiness), you don't even know how much potential you have.
You are remaining complacent.

Girl, STOP.🚫
Stop letting another year pass you by.
Stop letting yourself off the hook.
Stop letting excuses and outside circumstances rule you.🚫

You are in control.
You make your own rules.
You decide to commit.
You decide to change your life.💓

Because no one is going to do it for you.

Grab ahold of 2018.
Know your f*cking worth!
And make epic shit happen 🔥

Commit now.
I'm here if you need help 💌
Let's light 2018 on fire with how much we give a sh*t about ourselves. 🔥💓💪🏻💕
